In 2004 another Carlisle based company, WA Developments acquired Eddie Stobart Ltd, which saw William Stobart take up the role of Managing Director and Andrew Tinkler the role of Chairman.

The three entities of the Eddie Stobart Group comprise of Eddie Stobart Limited, which includes UK haulage, UK warehousing and UK process management, Eddie Stobart International, which includes haulage and warehousing and Eddie Stobart Promotions, which include Stobart Motorsport, Stobart Shop and Stobart Members Club.
